I wrote this haiku over my morning coffee, after a recent chat with a friend about how rarely we notice the processes that serve us every day, and how much more mindful and appreciative we could be in our work and lives.
It reminded me that even something as simple as a cup of coffee is built by countless unseen hands.
That thought led me to research the coffee process and then to a longer reflection, one that explores not only the journey of a coffee bean, but also what it reveals about the way we work, what we hand over, and how we can honour the people, time, resources, and care behind everything we touch.
